Timothy John Russert was born on May 7, 1950, in Buffalo, New York, USA. He was an American journalist and television host for NBC. His parents were American-Irish Catholics. His mother, Elizabeth, was a housewife, and his father, Timothy Joseph "Big Russ" Russert, held various professions, ranging from a healthcare worker to a sanitation worker.
Education and Early Career
Russert graduated from Canisius High School in Buffalo and obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Buffalo School of Law in 1972. After completing his studies, he worked in the law office of New York Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan for some time. In 1983, Russert became an attorney for New York Governor Mario Cuomo.
